Basic but effective straps, easy to use, and fit for purpose. Easy release mechanism. Bright in colour but wasn’t important to us. Originally bought a pack for my Grandad, who was that impressed he asked for the same again. Very good value for money.

Absolute rubbish. It has one function - to take up slack strapping until tightened. It absolutely does not. Even before the mechanism had taken up slack the ratchet cogs started slipping and actually could not take up any tension. All 4 in the set were the same. Very poor quality. Bought a better set from a chain store and threw the supplied set in the bin.

Strap and hooks work well and are sound, but the ratchet is poor and slips constantly when attempting to tighten so the load never feels fully secure. I used these on two occasions to secure items to a roof rack on a car (kayak, fence posts) with the same issue both times with the ratchet. Given the choice again, I would elect a better quality item which would invariably mean paying a bit more money but would be worth doing.
