I bought these to use for fastening down a cover over outdoor furniture - seems OK so far, but will update this review in the spring to cover how they survived the winter weather. Update: They have lasted through the cold and wet of two winters without degrading at all, no rust on the metal parts and no fraying of the straps. Look as though they should last a good few years
