These ratchet straps feel well made, both in terms of the thick polyester strapping and the metal ratchet mechanism. I do have other ratchet straps that feel heavier duty but these Gearcell straps will serve a purpose also. They are very easy to use and adjust. Note that they are the webbing loop type which means you have to feed the strap through the ratchet, effectively creating a loop that you tighten to secure items. This design is different from the type of strap that is hooked at one end and doesn't require to be looped back on itself. The straps feel secure enough when tightened in place. The orange colour presents a high visibility look, which is good. My only real criticism is that the ratchet mechanism feels like it could be quite sharp, so it is advisable to wear gloves when securing it. Good value for money overall for this set.

These ratchet straps are rather reliable tools. The straightforward design and solid stitching make them suitable for various tasks around the home, whether it's holding gardening equipment or transporting bits and pieces to the local tip. I particularly valued their length, which was useful when strapping an old table onto our trailer on the way to the recycling centre. Although the release mechanism can be somewhat sharp, a sturdy pair of gloves resolves the issue comfortably. While they have an 800kg load rating, I haven’t tested them to the limit, but felt confident when using them to secure light to medium loads. It's worth noting that fitting the strap into the ratchet may require a bit of fiddling at first, but with practice, it becomes second nature. A solid choice for the practical tasks at hand.

This positive review is for a set of four endless (no hooks) orange "ratchet" straps, four metres in length. I state the above because this is what I received and not four black pull through, self gripping straps. The straps that I received are excellent quality, they are strongly stitched and the ratchet buckle is well made and smooth in operation. We prefer these "endless" type straps for holding boards and timber on our roof bars as you can throw the webbing over the roof of the car without worrying about metal hooks damaging the paint of hitting and cracking a window. We do use hooked straps too but only on our trailers. 5 out of 5 stars as these orange ratchet straps were excellent value for money and are very well made.

This pack of ratchet straps are a decent length but not as wide as many on the market. We feel these are ‘medium’ rather than ‘heavy’ duty. They are a standard construction and work well. We have used them to ‘tension off’ medium sized branches on a couple of fruit trees that we have just trimmed. They were good for that and are also ideal for strapping DIY materials onto the roof rack on the car. A good standard product.

These straps are amazing when you learn how to use them. A lot of people I know have no clue how to operate them but there’s a simple YouTube video to show you and you will only need to watch it once. The mechanical advantage makes them able to be ratcheted up crazy tight, be careful how tight you wrench them up as you could break stuff that’s being held by them. The orange colour makes them stand out and helps identify when they come loose. They’re great value and the straps and ratchets are good quality.
