These are small straps for light duties, fixing things down in the back of my truck for example, but no big loads, these aren't cargo straps. I'll add these to the kit box in the back of the landrover with the other fixings. They've not nothing I find particularly special about them, they feel up to the job with no stand-out features.

I knew these would come in useful, especially as the straps we've had for years are teetering towards extinction. We've already used these new ratchet straps several times over the weekend to secure furniture we'd bought back home. You get 2 of these straps - each 6 metres long x 25 mm wide with durable, thick canvas webbing, metal tensioners, "J" hooks and clips. Each strap will take 800 kg, so 1600 kg for the pair, and they are easy to operate. They're suitable for industrial use as well as car/van/home use and they are certainly capable. They do the job and do it well. An excellent price at £10.99, (at time of order), for the pair. Recommended.

For the money (currently £10.99 for the pair) I think that these are good quality straps. The nylon webbing feels strong and the metal bits are suitably strong and well put together. They fasten securely and release easily. They have a rubber coated hook at either end and you can adjust the length as required by pulling the webbing through before starting to fasten it. Do not be mislead by the pictures on the Amazon page showing them holding down a load on the back of a lorry. These are much thinner than those in that picture and are very much more for the home user to secure things to their roof bars than they are for securing many tons of cargo to the bed of a lorry. For the home user I am giving these 5 stars despite the misleading pictures.

Easy and intuitive to thread to form a strong ratchet equivalent to the 'Trucker Hitch' for securing loads. I have used these on my ATV to keep the dog box in place and another one to secure loads in my trailer. They come with a long length of high-strength woven nylon tape that helps to secure any load safely onto a roof rack, quad or trailer. I thought these to be very good value for money. If you are going to use one of these for a smaller load, you will need to cut the tape to fit on the spool.
